Library Club

The Library Club ' Pragya' of MHES College of Science And Technology College aim to promote better use of library and inculcate reading habits among the students. The Club provide opportunities for students to explore their ideas and creativity. It aims to enrich the reading habit of students and serves as a forum for discussions, debates, literary events, quiz programmes and other competitions. The club can stimulate the creative thinking of students and promotes variety of literary activities and thereby get in touch with the books, and improve communication skill and general awareness among the students. The club also organizes ‘Reading Week’ where a certain author is selected and the student is familiarized with all the works of that person. The club focuses on special talks and book talks by experts. A wide spectrum of activities, competitions and programmes are arranged by the club team during every academic year. In an attempt to awaken the creative imagination of students, the Library Club organized a Short Story Writing Competition entitled ' Let's Write A Short Story 'on 10th October 2022, in relation with the celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child. We invited all young story tellers from all the departments of the college to share their tales. The programme came to be a big success as many students registered their names. Finally on the day, sixteen students from various departments has shared their tales.
